Biography:
Dan Brown is entering his second season as head girls basketball coach at Revere.
In his first season, Brown guided the Minutemen to a 17-8 record and an 8-4 finish in the Suburban League American Division. The team tied for second overall in the division and advanced to the Nordonia Division II District semifinals.
Brown came to Revere after three seasons as head girls basketball coach at Padua Franciscan, where he compiled a 43-31 record. In the 2016-17 season, Brown led the Bruins to a 20-5 record and the school's first North Coast League Championship in 14 years. The team also won the Elyria D-II District title and Brown was selected both as NCL Coach of the Year and to coach in the Greater Cleveland Coaches Association All-Star Game.
Prior to that, Brown was the head boys basketball coach at Cloverleaf.
A graduate of Buckeye, Brown currently is in his tenth year working for the Cloverleaf Local Schools and resides in Medina.
Casey Nance.
Assistant Coach
Biography:
Casey Nance is entering her seventh season as an assistant coach at Revere.
Over her time on the bench, Nance has been on the coaching staff for a pair of Suburban League American Conference championships (2015-16, 2016-17) and helped the Minutemen to a runner-up finish in the league this past winter. The 2015-16 title-winning team was the first for the school since 1974-75.
Nance was a standout player both at Revere and the University of Dayton. The center was a second-team All-Ohioan in her final two seasons with the Minutemen, along with earning Tri-County Association Player of the Year honors as a senior after averaging 14.8 points and 16.2 rebounds a game. A Revere Athletic Hall of Famer, Nance finished her prep career with 1,037 points, 1,113 rebounds and 281 blocks, holding single-season and single-game school records for both rebounds and blocks.
While at Dayton, Nance finished among the top rebounders in program history and currently is 13th on the school's all-time list for rebounds in a career after playing 131 games for the Flyers. She also is third for blocked shots in a career.
Nance currently serves as the Director of Operations for Athletes Vs. Crohn's and Colitis -- a non-profit group started by her younger brother, Larry Jr., to raise awareness of Crohn’s and Colitis in the adolescent population and help children realize their athletic potential despite being diagnosed with a chronic illness.
Nolan Turpin.
Assistant Coach/Head JV Coach
Biography:
Nolan Turpin is entering his second season at Revere.
This past winter, Turpin guided the JV Minutemen to a 10-11 record and 6-8 finish in the Suburban League American Conference. He also was an assistant for the varsity squad that won 17 games and tied for second in the SL American Conference.
Turpin joined the coaching staff after three seasons as the assistant coach and head junior varsity coach at Padua. He was apart of a Bruins program that won a North Coast League championship and Elyria Division II District title.
A Cloverleaf graduate, Turpin is a certified personal trainer and resides in Twinsburg with his wife, Lexi.
