The girls team swam in the D1 meet on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Scoring for the girls were: 3rd place 100 butterfly Abby DiSalvo and 200 free relay (DiSalvo, Tarini Gowda, Julia Grandon and Kayla Smith) 4th place 400 free relay (DiSalvo, Emery Banks, Grandon and Smith) 5th place 200 free DiSalvo 6th place 100 backstroke Smith 7th place 50 free Smith and 500 free Grandon 12th place 50 free Grandon 16th place 50 free Emmy Schmidt and 500 free Kajsa Martynyuk Scoring PRs for the girls were Camryn Bir, Banks, Grandon, DiSalvo, Martynyuk and Schmidt. DiSalvo, Smith, Grandon and the relays all qualified to move onto districts this Saturday.

Revere Swim Teams wrapped up their regular season on Saturday night with a double dual versus Aurora and Nordonia. The teams will now focus on the OHSAA sectionals in two weeks.  The girls lost to both teams, 63-106 (Nordonia) and 78-92 (Aurora). The girls end up with a 9-2 record (6-1 in SL American conference). Scoring first place against some fast competition were Emmy Schmidt, Kayla Smith, Tarini Gowda and Abby DiSalvo. New personal best times were achieved by Kajsa Martynyuk, Schmidt, Keke Davis, and Camryn Bir.  Thank you to all the staff, students and administrators that came out to support our swimmers this school year!

On the eve of the last night of finals, Wednesday, January 18, 2023, the Revere Minuteman swimmers took on the Rough Riders of Kent.  The girls team continued their dominance and remain undefeated in dual meet action with a win 97-65. Scoring 1st place finishes were Abby DiSalvo, Julia Grandon, Kayla Smith and the 200 free and 400 free relay teams of DiSalvo, Grandon, Smith and Tarini Gowda. Big shout out to our ladies swimming fast for a new personal best: Keke Davis, Camryn Bir and Kajsa Martynyuk.  The Minuteman swimmers will wrap-up their regular season next Saturday, Jan 28th at 7 pm. Come support your seniors in their last home meet. 

Congrats to RHS girls swim team for beating the Copley Indians 98-61. Scoring first place were Kayla Smith, Julia Grandon, Emery Banks, DiSalvo and all 3 relays. New personal best times were achieved by Tarini Gowda, Kajsa Martynyuk and Camryn Bir.

On Saturday, January 7, 2023, your Revere Swim teams competed in the Suburban League Championship meet (American conference).  For the girls team...We are excited to announce that we have 5 league CHAMPS: In the 200 free, senior Abby DiSalvo with a new personal best time of 2:00.53 In the 50 free, junior Kayla Smith with a new personal best time of 25.75 In the 100 butterfly, again Abby DiSalvo!! in the 100 backstroke, again Kayla Smith!! And in the 200 free relay, senior Tarini Gowda, junior Julia Grandon, Kayla Smith and Abby DiSalvo! The girls finished the meet 2nd overall (pending results from diving this week). Helping us secure our placement at the meet by scoring for the team were: 2nd place 100 free Gowda and 400 free relay (Gowda, Grandon, Smith and DiSalvo) 3rd place 200 IM Grandon 4th place 50 free Gowda, 100 free Emmy Schmidt, 500 free Grandon, 100 back Emery Banks 6th place 200 free Banks, 50 free Schmidt 7th place 200 medley relay (Banks, Kajsa Martynyuk, Carla Nemer and Schmidt) 8th place- 200 free and 100 butterfly Martynyuk 12th place 200 IM Nemer 14th place 100 free Keke Davis 15th place 200 IM Camryn Bir and breaststroke Nemer 16th place back Davis We had lots of super fast swimming with new PRS by senior DiSalvo, juniors Banks, Grandon, Schmidt and Smith, sophomores Bir and Davis, and freshmen Martynyuk and Ella Stalnaker. Congrats ladies on a great meet!

Our lady Minutemen came out ahead with a 93-75 win over Highland. Julia Grandon, Kayla Smith, Tarini Gowda, Abby DiSalvo, and the 200 free relay (Gowda, Grandon, Smith and DiSalvo) and 400 free relay (Emery Banks, Grandon, Smith and DiSalvo) helped secure the win with 1st place finishes. A few ladies also posted new personal best times including Grandon, Kajsa Martynyuk, Emmy Schmidt, Keke Davis and Ella Stalnaker.  Revere swimmers compete on Saturday morning at the UAkron Natatorium in the Suburban League Champ (American Division) meet.  Make plans now to support your swimmers on Wednesday, 1/11 as they take on TTDS Xopley, 5:30 start time!

On Friday, Dec 30th, the team participated in the Cloverleaf Stampede Invitational. The girls came in 3rd out of 21 teams. Scoring for the team were: 1st place backstroke- Kayla Smith 1st place 400 free relay- Emery Banks, Julia Grandon, Smith and Abby DiSalvo 2nd place 200 free-  DiSalvo 2nd place Fly- DiSalvo 3rd place 200 free relay- Tarini Gowda, Grandon, Smith and DiSalvo 4th place 50 free- Smith 6th place 500 free- Grandon 8th place IM- Grandon 11th place 500 free- Banks Fantastic swims with new personal records came from Camryn Bir, Keke Davis, Ella Stalnaker and Emmy Schmidt. The girls host the Highland Hornets on Wednesday 1/4 at 5 pm at the Welly. 

On Wednesday, December 21, the team hosted a double dual with STVM and the Elms. The girls team came away with a win over the Elms 100 to 25, increasing their record to 6-0.  Kajsa Martynyuk, Julia Grandon, Emmy Schmidt, Kayla Smith, Abby DiSalvo, Emery Banks and the 3 relay teams (including Smith, DiSalvo, Carla Nemer, Keke Davis, Tarini Gowda and Camryn Bir) all posted first place finishes. New personal bests were achieved by Martynyuk, Schmidt, Bir, and Davis.

On Saturday, 14 Revere swimmers participated in the Viking Invitational at CSU. Three swimmers (Abby DiSalvo, Kayla Smith, and Weyland Franklyn) qualified for finals. At finals Weyland swam the 100 free and came in 25th, Kayla swam the 50 free and 100 back coming in 29th and 11th and Abby swam the 200 free and 100 fly and placed 16th and 10th. Weyland had an exciting meet: tied for the last qualifying spot, he had to do a swim off (video attached) and recorded a new pr every time he swam that event!  The following swimmers recorded one or more PRs: seniors Abby DiSalvo and Weyland Franklyn,  Juniors Peter Shockey and Emery Banks, sophomores Aiden Willaman and Brody Bard, and freshman Owen Willaman.  Their next meet is Wed at 4:30 at home (the Welly at the corner of 18 and Crystal Lake Rd)- the boys will take on StVM, the girls will take on the Elms. Thursday, December 15, the RHS Minuteman participated in a double dual meet with Walsh Jesuit and Canton Central Catholic.  The girls remain undefeated (now 5-0) by beating Walsh 91-74 and CCC 120-33.  Versus Walsh, Julia Grandon, Abby DiSalvo, Kayla Smith, and the 200 (Tarini Gowda and Grandon, DiSalvo and Smith) and 400 (Emery Banks and Grandon, DiSalvo and Smith) free relays posted 1st place finishes. When scoring against Canton Central Catholic, a few more ladies also posted first place finishes: the medley relay (Banks, Carla Nemer, Kajsa Martynyuk and Emmy Schmidt), and in individual events: Gowda and Nemer.  Congrats to the following Minutemen for swimming new PRs at this meet: sophomores Camryn Bir and Keke Davis; freshmen Kajsa Martynyuk and Ella Stalnaker.

Yesterday, Wednesday, December 14, 2022, the Revere Swimming Minutemen took on the Barberton Magic at their home pool at the corner of 18 and Crystal Lake Rd. and came out victorious! The ladies posted a 110-28 win, putting them at 3-0 in the SL American conference. First place finishes were won by Julia Grandon, Abby DiSalvo, Tarini Gowda, Kajsa (Ky-sa) Martynyuk (Martinek), Emery Banks, Kayla Smith and all three relays (Ella Stalnaker, DiSalvo, Martynyuk and Camryn Bir in the 200 medley; Gowda, Stalnaker, Emmy Schmidt and Smith in the 200 free; and Martynyuk, Bir, Schmidt and DiSalvo in the 400 free.) Congrats to the following lady swimmers that achieved a new personal best time: freshman Ella Stalnaker and Kajsa Martynyuk, sophomore Keke Davis, and juniors Kayla Smith and Emery Banks.  The Minutemen are back in the pool tonight at 6 pm at UAkron versus Walsh Jesuit and Canton Central Catholic. Swim fast!

Last night, Wednesday, December 7, the Girls Swim Team improved their record to 2-0 with a 109-53 win over Tallmadge. Julia Grandon, Kajsa Martynyuk, Abby DiSalvo, and all three relay teams came in 1st place (Kayla Smith, Carla Nemer, DiSalvo and Martynyuk in the medley relay; Tarini Gowda, Emmy Schmidt, Grandon and Emery Banks in 200 free relay; and Banks, Martynyuk, Schmidt and DiSalvo in the 400 free relay.) The following ladies recorded new best times- freshman Kajsa Martynyuk, Ella Stalnaker, Rosa Parsons; sophomore Camryn Bir and senior Abby DiSalvo.  The next meet for the swim teams is Wednesday, December 14th versus Barberton. 

The Revere swim teams competed this Saturday at the Hilltopper Invite against 600 swimmers from 30 schools.  Abby DiSalvo placed in the top 16 in all 4 of her individual events. Also scoring for the lady Minutemen were Kayla Smith and Julia Grandon. More than half the girls team swam new best times in their individual events including freshman Kajsa Martynyuk, sophomores Keke Davis and Camryn Bir, juniors Emery Banks, Smith and Grandon and senior Carla Nemer.  The swimmers next meet is Wednesday at 5:30 versus Tallmadge at the Kohl Family YMCA. 

Congratulations to the Minutemen swimmers. Last night both teams took home the win in season opener Suburban League meets vs the Cuyahoga Falls Tigersharks.  Final score for the girls team was 94-77. Scoring first place for the team were seniors Abby DiSalvo and Carla Nemer, juniors Kayla Smith and Julia Grandon, and the 200 and 400 free relay teams of senior Tarini Gowda, DiSalvo, Smith and Grandon.  The boys team came out ahead with a score of 92-80. First place finishers for the boys were seniors Weyland Franklyn and Tate Johnson, and the 200 free relay of freshman John Shockey, sophomore Aiden Willaman, Johnson and Franklyn and the 400 free relay of Franklyn, Johnson, freshman Owen Willaman and junior Peter Shockey.  With 12 events per team, these wins came as a result of everyone stepping up and finding a way to score for the team! Congrats to the following swimmers who recorded a new personal best time at this first meet: freshman John Shockey, Kajsa Martynyuk (in 3 events), Daniel Nemer, and Owen Willaman; sophomores Will Sveda, Keke Davis, Ben Mauldin (in 2 events), and Camryn Bir; and juniors Kayla Smith, Emery Banks, Mohammed Essa and Emmy Schmidt.  Next up is the Hilltopper Invite on Saturday!
