Revere scores three in the 7th to beat Barberton,4-3.

The Revere Varsity Softball team went to bat in the top of the 7th inning trailing by a score of 3-1. When the dust settled, Revere scored 3 runs to take a 4-3 lead. Sophomore P Haley McEwen shut the Barberton offense down in the bottom of the 7th to seal the win for Revere.
Revere scored in the first inning when JR OF Claire Brokloff led off with a single. Brokloff scored on a double by JR OF Katie Azzolina to put Revere ahead 1-0. Barberton managed to score 3 runs in the 3rd inning and the score stood at 3-1 going into the top of the 7th.
In the Revere 7th, JR 3B Amanda Fribley reached on an error. Brokloff hit a single, moving Fribley to second. FR Abbie Gayner ran for Fribley and Azzolina hit a single that scored Gayner. Brokloff scored on a SAC Fly by FR SS Jeanne Hujer, while Azzolina moved to third. JR C Lauren Skidmore then lifted a SAC fly to center that scored Azzolina, giving Revere a 4-3 lead.
McEwen then closed out the game in the bottom of the 7th to notch her second win of the season.
The win gives Revere a 3-3 record in SLA competition. Revere plays Highland at home on Tuesday, April 23. Game time is 4:30 at the Our Lady Of The Elms complex.
