The Girls Varsity Tennis team participated in the Rocky River Div. II Sectional tournament on Wednesday, October 3 at Tri-City Park and Linden Park in Rocky River.  The tournament is single elimination until the players advance to the semi-finals in singles or doubles. The girls played well with singles player Margaux Miller  losing a tough match to the top player from Cloverleaf.  Nina Lazbin and Molly Oldham each won two singles matches.  Nina lost her 3rd match to Amaya Kender from Elyria Catholic. Molly will play in the quarter finals on Thursday afternoon at Chagrin Valley Athletic Club.  The doubles team of Maggie Pavlich and Jenny Fan won their first match to Crestwood but lost a 2nd tough match to Padua.  First doubles team of Amy Lazbin and Morgan Dobos won three matches to advance to the semi-finals to be held on Saturday at noon at Chagrin Valley Athletic Club. They have qualified for the district tournament to be held at Springside Racquet Club next Friday, October 12.
